Recognition – Respect – Responsibility

As a member of the HSjox.com community I agree to conduct myself in complete accordance with its Code of Conduct as embodied in the principles of Recognition, Respect, and Responsibility and to encourage others to do so as well.

Recognition

I will take every opportunity I can, to recognize the efforts and achievements of people associated with my school. I will recognize them by name in every work that I submit or edit. I will recognize athletes, coaches, referees, teachers, fans, and supporting volunteers. I will identify opportunities for praise and I will give it freely and sincerely.

Respect

I will always respect the teachers, coaches, officials, athletes, and fans, including those supporting other schools. I will earn other’s respect by first respecting them. I will not criticize, condemn, or complain. I will not be argumentative or unflattering in my coverage of any game, person, or school. I will act honorably and expect to be dismissed from contributing to HSjox.com publications, if I in any way, bring discredit to my school.

Responsibility

I am a responsible citizen of my community. I tell the truth and never misquote or make up quotes. I keep my promises. I do everything possible to meet deadlines with quality and accuracy. I am aware that what I say, write, photograph, and do reflects upon my family, my school, and me.
