The Highlanders rolled out to an early 9-4 run, but the Streaks kept it close. With the final score of 44-38, the Streaks played close with the dominant West Morris squad, but Alisa Greco and Shayna Ericksen boosted the Highlanders to the semifinals of the North II Group III tournament. The first Highlander point came from Ericksen off of a foul shot caused by Warren Hills’ Missy Detlaas. Julia Scanlon was able to add her own foul shot a little later and West Morris was finally able to go on a run after a Greco steal, a pass to Scanlon, who was able to put it up for ...Read More |

He walks the halls of West Morris just like any other person, but on the football field he is no ordinary athlete. Over the course of his four year career Burton amassed an astronomical 3,372 rushing yards and 4,498 all-purpose yards, but his career will not stop their. On February 3rd Michael Burton committed to Rutgers University with a preferred walk-on spot from Coach Greg Schiano which guarantees Burton a scholarship if anyone were to leave the team. Stemming from last year’s game between West Morris and Mount Olive where the cheering sections spilled out into the parking lot everyone was expecting a loud and intense match up. Yet this year the only team getting excited was the Wolfpack as they grabbed a 69-46 victory over the Marauders. The game began with a ceremony for all the Wolfpack seniors before their last ever regular season home game in the blue and white uniforms. The seniors met with their parents at mid court and thanked them for four years of support, and each family took a picture with each other in order to remember the upperclassmen’s last game. The Wolfpack starting line up had a different look to it Tuesday night, but it was just as effective. The Wolfpack starting line up consisted of Tim Drezwinski, Ed McCracken, Derek Kambour, Adam Brochu, and Chris Donovan. These seniors p ...Read More |
